Volkswagen Financial Services questions

My Volkswagen Financial Services agreement is paid off. Does it count?

Yes. Volkswagen Financial Services agreements from 6 April 2007 to 1 November 2024 count whether you’ve paid them off or are still paying.

Which cars did Volkswagen Financial Services finance?

Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited finances Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Škoda, Porsche and Bentley, among others, through dealers across the UK.

Is Volkswagen Financial Services challenging the FCA scheme?

Yes. Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited is one of three lenders challenging the FCA’s rules in the Upper Tribunal, with the consumer group Consumer Voice. The full hearing is from 16 February to 3 March 2027. Complaints can still be made while it goes ahead.

I’ve had a letter from Volkswagen Financial Services. What does it mean?

While the scheme is paused, lenders don’t have to work out or pay compensation. They must still tell people who have already complained if they’re not owed anything: by 18 November 2026 for agreements from 1 April 2014 complained about by 30 June 2026, and by 18 January 2027 for older agreements complained about by 31 August 2026. Offers wait for the ruling. If you’re told you’re not owed and you disagree, you can ask the lender to look again, then go to the Financial Ombudsman.

You do not need to use a claims management company to make your complaint. You can do this directly. If your complaint is not successful you can refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service yourself for free. We may receive a fee for introducing you to a third party CMC or panel solicitor, this does not affect any compensation you may receive.
